Questions

How much is one Avios worth?

Between about 0.5p and 1.5p, depending on the redemption: least on short-haul economy, most on long-haul business class. Head for Points works on a 1p rule of thumb. Buying Avios from British Airways costs 0.99p to 2.5p each.

How much is 100,000 Avios worth?

Between about £500 and £1,500 as flights. 100,000 Avios would cost £2,000 to buy from British Airways at its standard price. A business earns 100,000 RewardsPilot points on £25,000 of net spend, and could sell them back for £750.

How many Avios does my business spend earn?

4 RewardsPilot points for every £1 of eligible spend, on the net amount excluding VAT; each point transfers to 1 airline mile, Avios included. £50,000 of bills a month earns 200,000 a month and 2,400,000 a year.

What is a RewardsPilot point worth in cash?

0.75p. Points sell back to RewardsPilot at 3% of the eligible spend behind them (25p of spend per point), paid within 24 hours. That is the published rate; it is not an estimate.

Is it better to take flights or cash?

Flights, if the business will use them: a long-haul business-class seat gives 1p or more per point against 0.75p in cash. Cash is certain, fast and simple, and the choice can be made each time points are redeemed.

Which bills earn points?

Any genuine business payment put through the programme: HMRC bills such as VAT, PAYE and corporation tax, supplier invoices, rent, and payroll funded through CrestPay. VAT itself, refunds and reversed amounts do not earn points.
